🧭 Six connected service lines

Everyday care, handled properly.

Skin, hair, teeth, weight, and the basics of feeling well are not separate problems β€” they are one person's life. Each Everwell service is delivered by a licensed specialist who shares your chart with the rest of your care team, so nothing gets treated in isolation.

Skin Care

Dermatology-led · Medical, not a spa

Skin problems are rarely just skin problems. A flare of eczema can be driven by stress, a new detergent, or an undiagnosed allergy. Hormonal acne often points back to the same insulin resistance that shows up in your labs. Our dermatology-led skin clinic treats the visible problem and looks for the reason behind it β€” so you are not back in six weeks with the same rash and a different cream.

Every new skin concern starts with a 45-minute consultation: your history, current products, medications, family history of skin cancer, and a full skin exam where it is relevant. You leave with a written plan that says exactly what to use, how often, what to stop, and when we expect to see a change. If a treatment is not working by the check-in, we change it β€” we do not simply add another product.

What we treat

  • Acne β€” mild to severe, hormonal, cystic, back and chest acne, and post-acne scarring
  • Eczema & atopic dermatitis β€” including flare prevention plans and allergy patch referral
  • Rosacea β€” subtype-specific treatment for flushing, papules, and ocular symptoms
  • Psoriasis & seborrheic dermatitis β€” scalp, face, and body regimens; biologic referral when needed
  • Contact dermatitis & rashes β€” including reactions to cosmetics, metals, and medications
  • Hyperpigmentation & melasma β€” sunscreen-first plans with prescription topicals
  • Fungal, bacterial, and viral skin infections β€” including warts and molluscum
  • Mole & skin cancer screening β€” dermoscopy, photographic tracking, and same-week biopsy referral for suspicious lesions
  • Keloids and scarring β€” early intervention and referral for scar revision

What a first visit looks like

  1. History & photos (10 min): we document your skin at baseline so progress is measured, not remembered.
  2. Full skin exam (10–15 min): including scalp, back, and any spots you are worried about.
  3. Plan & education (15 min): written instructions, a realistic timeline, and what to stop using.
  4. Check-in at 6–8 weeks: included for new acne and eczema plans so we can adjust before frustration sets in.

How we treat

Most plans start with prescription topicals β€” tretinoin, adapalene, azelaic acid, clindamycin, or a corticosteroid calibrated to the location and thickness of your skin. When the skin does not respond, we move to oral therapy (antibiotics at anti-inflammatory doses, hormonal options, or isotretinoin with careful monitoring). In-office procedures such as cryotherapy, minor excisions, and medical chemical peels are available at both clinics. We do not sell cosmetic injectables or retail skincare lines, and we will tell you plainly when a $12 drugstore product will do the same job as a $180 serum.

Every skin plan includes sun protection. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30+ is the single most effective thing most patients can do for acne marks, melasma, and skin cancer risk. We will help you find one you will actually wear.

Hair Care

Medical hair loss & scalp health

Hair loss is one of the most emotionally loaded things patients bring to a clinic, and one of the most frequently dismissed. β€œIt is probably stress” is not a diagnosis. At Everwell we start with the boring, useful work: a structured history, a scalp exam, and lab tests that rule out the reversible causes β€” iron deficiency, thyroid disease, low vitamin D, and hormonal changes β€” before we talk about long-term treatment.

We treat both scarring and non-scarring hair loss, and we are honest about timelines. Hair grows roughly half an inch a month, so any plan that promises results in two weeks is selling something. Most patients see reduced shedding within 8–12 weeks and visible regrowth between months four and six.

What we treat

  • Androgenetic alopecia β€” pattern thinning in men and women, including post-menopausal changes
  • Telogen effluvium β€” shedding after illness, surgery, childbirth, rapid weight loss, or severe stress
  • Alopecia areata β€” patchy autoimmune hair loss, with referral for advanced therapy when indicated
  • Traction alopecia β€” thinning from braids, weaves, and tight hairstyles, with culturally aware guidance
  • Scalp conditions β€” psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, and persistent dandruff
  • Hirsutism β€” excess facial or body hair, including PCOS evaluation
  • Eyebrow & eyelash thinning β€” evaluation and treatment where appropriate

Testing we usually order

TestWhy it mattersTypical result time
Ferritin & CBCLow iron stores are a common, fixable cause of shedding in women24–48 hours
TSH & free T4Thyroid imbalance changes hair growth cycles24–48 hours
Vitamin D, B12Deficiency contributes to diffuse thinning and fatigue24–48 hours
Hormone panelPCOS, testosterone, and menopause-related changes2–4 days
TrichoscopyIn-office magnified scalp exam to distinguish scar from non-scarSame visit

Treatment options we discuss

  • Topical minoxidil β€” the most evidence-backed starting point for pattern hair loss; we help with the β€œdread shed” and formulation choice.
  • Oral minoxidil (low dose) β€” for patients who cannot tolerate topicals; requires blood pressure monitoring.
  • Finasteride or spironolactone β€” for appropriate candidates, with a full discussion of side effects and pregnancy safety.
  • Correction of deficiencies β€” iron, vitamin D, or thyroid treatment when labs call for it, at standard doses rather than megadoses.
  • Scalp-directed therapy β€” prescription shampoos and topical steroids for inflammatory scalp disease.
  • Referral for PRP, transplants, or dermatologic procedures β€” we will tell you honestly when a procedure is worth the money and when it is not.

About hair supplements: the vast majority of over-the-counter β€œhair, skin, and nails” products contain biotin, which rarely helps unless you are deficient β€” and can distort thyroid and cardiac lab results. We review everything you are taking before recommending anything new.

Oral Care

Preventive dental hygiene & oral health

Your mouth is not a separate building from the rest of your body. Gum inflammation is linked to worse blood sugar control in diabetes, and many common medications cause dry mouth that quietly increases cavity risk. Everwell's oral care suite exists so that preventive dental care can happen in the same system that already knows your medical history β€” and so your dentist can flag a blood pressure reading that needs a doctor's attention the same day.

Our hygienists and dental director focus on prevention and early detection. We do not upsell whitening packages during a cleaning, and we will show you your own X-rays and explain what we see. Restorative work that falls outside our scope is referred to vetted local partners, with your records shared only on your instruction.

What we provide

  • Dental hygiene cleanings β€” routine prophylaxis, scaling, and polish, with gentle technique for sensitive gums
  • Comprehensive oral exams β€” teeth, gums, bite, jaw, and soft tissue
  • Digital X-rays β€” bitewing and panoramic imaging with low-dose sensors
  • Fluoride treatment & sealants β€” for children, teens, and adults with high cavity risk
  • Periodontal screening & maintenance β€” gum pocket measurement and non-surgical management
  • Oral cancer screening β€” visual and tactile exam at every hygiene visit
  • Sleep apnea & snoring screening β€” dental sleep medicine evaluation and referral for a sleep study
  • Dry mouth & medication counseling β€” practical plans for patients on multiple prescriptions
  • Night guard fitting & bruxism assessment β€” for grinding-related wear and jaw pain

Why oral care lives inside a medical clinic

Blood pressure before cleaning: readings are logged in your medical chart, and we reschedule non-urgent work if your pressure is dangerously high.
Medication awareness: blood thinners, bisphosphonates, and diabetes medication change how we plan dental treatment β€” we already have that list.
Gum–heart–sugar connection: your hygienist and primary care clinician see the same trend lines, so inflammation is treated as a whole-body issue.
One set of forms: no repeating your medical history at the front desk of a separate dental office.

What we refer out

Root canals, crowns, implants, orthodontics, and complex extractions are referred to our partner network. You receive a written referral summary and an estimate, and our care coordinator can help you book the appointment. We would rather refer you well than do work outside our scope.

Family note: children age 6 and up are welcome for hygiene visits. Pediatric dentistry and orthodontics are referred to specialized partners.

Primary Care

Your medical home base

Primary care is the service everything else leans on. It is where your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, mental health, and preventive screenings get tracked over years rather than in one-off visits. It is also where you go when something is wrong today and you need an answer from someone who already knows you.

Our primary care visits are 30–45 minutes. A new patient visit covers your full history, medications, family history, lifestyle, and goals, plus a physical exam and a plan for which screenings you actually need this year. You leave with a written summary and a direct message thread to your care team for follow-up questions.

Preventive care

  • Annual physicals and Medicare annual wellness visits
  • Blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes screening with same-day lab draw
  • Cervical cancer screening, with referral coordination for mammography and colonoscopy
  • Immunizations: flu, COVID-19, Tdap, shingles, pneumococcal, and travel vaccines
  • STI screening and confidential sexual health counseling
  • Lung cancer screening referral for eligible smokers and former smokers
  • Depression, anxiety, and alcohol use screening at every annual visit

Chronic condition management

ConditionWhat ongoing care includes
Type 2 diabetes & prediabetesA1c checks every 3–6 months, medication adjustment, CGM support, dietitian referral, foot and eye screening
High blood pressureHome monitoring plan, medication titration, kidney and electrolyte checks, lifestyle coaching
High cholesterol10-year cardiovascular risk review, statin discussion with clear numbers, repeat lipid panels
Thyroid diseaseTSH monitoring, dose adjustment, symptom review, coordination with endocrinology when needed
Asthma & COPDInhaler technique review, action plans, spirometry referral, vaccination planning
GERD & digestive issuesMedication review, trigger work, H. pylori testing, GI referral when red flags appear
Anxiety & depressionScreening, medication management, therapy referral, and follow-up that actually happens

Same-day and acute care

Sore throat, sinus infection, UTI, flu, fever, rash, sprains, minor cuts, and prescription refills that cannot wait β€” existing patients can usually be seen the same day. We hold openings every weekday morning and offer video visits for concerns that do not need a hands-on exam. If you need an emergency department or urgent care, our nurse line will tell you straight rather than booking you into a slot we cannot help with.

Not sure if it is urgent? Call our 24/7 nurse line at 858-450-1903. A registered nurse β€” not a chatbot β€” will help you decide between home care, a same-day visit, urgent care, or the ER. There is no charge for this, whether or not you are a patient.

Weight Loss

Medical weight management · 12-week program

Weight is one of the few health topics where people are routinely blamed for a condition with a strong biological basis. Everwell's weight program starts from the opposite assumption: your metabolism, hormones, sleep, medications, stress, and food environment all matter, and willpower is not a treatment plan.

The 12-week core program pairs a medical evaluation with dietitian visits and monthly clinician check-ins. We run a metabolic panel, review medications that can cause weight gain, screen for sleep apnea and prediabetes, and set a target that is realistic for your body β€” usually 5–10% of starting weight in the first three to six months, with health markers improving even before the scale moves much.

What the program includes

  • Full medical evaluation β€” history, medications, metabolic and thyroid labs, blood pressure, and body composition
  • Three dietitian visits β€” 45 minutes each, built around your culture, budget, schedule, and food preferences
  • Monthly clinician check-ins β€” dose adjustments, side-effect management, and progress review
  • Medication management when appropriate β€” including GLP-1 receptor agonists, with prior authorization support
  • Sleep and stress screening β€” because both change appetite hormones and adherence
  • Secure messaging β€” direct access to your care team between visits
  • Maintenance planning β€” a written plan for the phase most programs ignore

Medication, explained honestly

FDA-approved medications can be a legitimate, evidence-based part of care for the right patient β€” they are not a shortcut and they are not for everyone. We prescribe only FDA-approved products dispensed by licensed U.S. pharmacies, never compounded alternatives of uncertain potency. Before starting, we review side effects, cost, insurance coverage, and what happens if you stop. While you are on treatment we monitor blood pressure, hydration, digestive symptoms, and muscle mass.

OptionHow it worksBest suited for
Nutrition & behavior program onlyStructured coaching, protein and fiber targets, sleep and step goalsPatients who prefer no medication or do not qualify
GLP-1 receptor agonistSlows stomach emptying and reduces appetite signalingBMI 30+, or 27+ with a weight-related condition
Other FDA-approved optionsNon-GLP-1 medications selected case by casePatients who cannot tolerate or access GLP-1 therapy
Metabolic surgery referralEvaluation for bariatric surgery when criteria are metBMI 40+, or 35+ with serious comorbidities

Who this is not for

We do not enroll patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with an active eating disorder, or anyone looking for a rapid β€œevent” diet. If your history suggests an eating disorder, we will refer you to specialized care β€” that is the responsible path, not a rejection.

Realistic expectations: clinical trials of GLP-1 medications show average losses of roughly 15–20% of body weight over 68 weeks, alongside nutrition support. Individual results vary widely, and weight often partially returns if treatment stops without a maintenance plan. We build that plan with you from day one.

Wellness Care

Sleep, stress, energy & prevention

β€œI am tired all the time” is a real medical complaint, not a personality trait. So is β€œI cannot fall asleep,” β€œI am anxious all day,” and β€œI do not feel like myself since turning 45.” Wellness care at Everwell is where those concerns get a proper workup instead of a shrug and a recommendation to drink more water.

This service is deliberately practical. We screen for the boring causes β€” anemia, thyroid disease, sleep apnea, vitamin deficiencies, medication side effects, alcohol use, and depression β€” before we discuss anything expensive. When the cause is behavioral, we use structured programs such as CBT-I for insomnia rather than open-ended advice to β€œrelax more.”

What we help with

  • Sleep problems β€” insomnia, restless sleep, shift-work schedules, and sleep apnea screening with home study referral
  • Persistent fatigue β€” anemia, thyroid, B12 and vitamin D, sleep quality, and medication review
  • Stress, anxiety & burnout β€” screening, coping plans, therapy referral, and medication only when indicated
  • Low mood β€” PHQ-9 screening, safety planning, and coordinated behavioral health support
  • Hormonal transitions β€” perimenopause, menopause, and andropause symptoms with an evidence-based approach
  • Sexual health β€” confidential counseling, STI screening, and contraception planning
  • Immunizations & travel health β€” routine vaccines, destination-specific advice, and prescriptions for travel
  • Supplement review β€” an honest audit of what you take, what interacts, and what is worth the money

Programs we run

❓ Service questions

Practical answers about how our services work

Can I see more than one service at the same clinic?

Yes β€” and most patients do. Your primary care clinician can refer you internally to skin, hair, oral, weight, or wellness care without a new patient intake. Because everyone documents in the same chart, your dermatologist can see that you started a new blood pressure medication, and your dietitian can see your latest A1c.

Do I need a referral from another doctor?

No referral is required to book any Everwell service. Some insurance plans require a referral for specialist visits β€” if yours does, our care coordinator will help you obtain it before your appointment at no charge.

Which services can be done by video?

Primary care follow-ups, medication management, wellness and behavioral health visits, weight program check-ins, hair loss lab reviews, and many skin concerns can be handled by secure video. Physical exams, dental cleanings, skin checks, and procedures require an in-person visit in Austin or Denver.

Are your clinicians board certified?

Our physicians are board certified in their specialties, and our nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, and dental providers hold active state licenses and national certifications. Licenses are verified at hire and re-verified annually. You can view profiles on our care team page.

Do you prescribe controlled substances or weight loss medication?

We prescribe FDA-approved medications when they are clinically appropriate, including GLP-1 receptor agonists for eligible weight management patients. We do not prescribe compounded GLP-1 products, and we do not prescribe stimulants or controlled substances on a first visit without a documented evaluation. Every prescription comes with a monitoring plan.

What if I need care outside your scope?

We refer to a vetted network of specialists in both cities β€” cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, dermatologic surgery, and restorative dentistry among them. You get a written referral summary, imaging or labs as needed, and help booking if you want it.

Can I switch services or clinicians later?

Absolutely. You can change your primary care clinician once, or as often as you need, by messaging your care coordinator. No explanation is required, and your new clinician will read your chart before your first visit.
